Frankincense has been used for centuries in perfumery, medicine and religious rituals. In aromatherapy, it is said to have calming, relaxing and antidepressant properties. This was extracted from Boswelia Papyrifera, also known as Sudanese incense. It is a species of flowering and incense plant native to Ethiopia, Eritrea and Sudan. The incense is characterized by a fresh scent of lemon myrrh and hints of pine and is therefore highly appreciated throughout the world.
